Tá Coláiste Bhun An Inbhir suite i nGaeltacht Ghaoth Dobhair. Tá sé lonnaithe in Iarthuaisceart Dhún na nGall, 50KM ó Leitir Cheannainn. Is áit speisialta í Bun an Inbhir le tránna agus tírdhreach álainn. Tá saibhreas iontach oidhreachta agus Gaeilge sa cheantar seo i nDún na nGall.
Cúrsa speisialta is na cúrsaí A & B atá dírithe ardhaltaí idir 11-14 bliana d’aois. Maireann na cúrsaí seo ar feadh coicíse. Maireann cúrsa C i mí Iúil/Lúnasa ar feadh trí seachtaine agus tá sé oscailte do dhaltaí idir 15 agus 18 mbliana d’aois. Is aidhm na gcúrsaí seo feabhas achur ar líofacht na ndaltaí agus cumas agus muinín a chothú iontu an Ghaeilge alabhairt. Tugann na cúrsaí seo deiseanna praiticiúla do na daltaí an Ghaeilge aúsáid.
Cuireann Coláiste Bhun an Inbhir rogha leathan de spóirt uisce ar fáil do dhaltaí a bhfuil suim acu sna spóirt sin. Déanann teagascóirí, atá oilte de réir caighdeáin Cumann Curachóireachta na hÉireann na rangannaspóirt uisce a chuir ar fáil. Tá gach teach ceadaithe ag Roinn Turasóireachta, Cultúir, Ealaíon, Gaeltachta, Spórt agus Meán agus is ball de CONCOS Coláiste Bhun an Inbhir.
Coláiste Bhun an Inbhir is a Gael Linn summer college located in North West Donegal, 50KM from Letterkenny. The Bun an Inbhir Gaeltacht is blessed with a rich cultural heritage and beautiful beaches and scenery. All courses are designed to improve the students’ ability and confidence and thus enable them to communicate with greater fluency in Irish. A mixture of formal classes and a wide range of activities ensure every student has an opportunity to improve fluency in the Irish language and deepen their awareness of their heritage.
Courses A & B in June/July last for two weeks and are designed especially for students aged 11-14 years. Course C in July/ August lasts for 3 weeks and is open to students aged between 15 and 18 years. There is an optional water sports module in Bun an Inbhir on offer for which an additional fee is charged. Why not try kayaking, body-boarding or surfing under fully qualified supervision?
All formal classes are conducted by fully trained teachers. All other activities are fully supervised by teachers and a cadre of experienced cinnirí. Students stay with local families and each house has been inspected by representatives of the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media.
Coláiste Gael Linn Bhun an Inbhir is also registered with CONCOS, the national federation of summer colleges.
